Studies are, surprisingly, related to work. Oh no, don't start thinking about academics and how they relate to your future dream careers. Actually it is Xtremely simple.
Here's how they link:
a) Full-time muggers. They mug during their free time at home, and are relatively immune to the attraction of the TV, the Internet, computer games and other entertainment sources. Thy usually get good results.
b) Part-time muggers. They mug when they feel like, they slack when they emo. They still seek out entertainment. This is where the average person is.
c) Full time slackers. They procrastinate a lot, and will only complete homework way past the deadline with the teachers breathing done their necks. I don't know what they do during their free time, slack and yet more slack. Their papers are man jiang hong.
d) Full-time muggers + overtime. These people are Xtreme. They find entertainment devices annoying and unmeaningful and seek to mug every single available useful information. They mug 24/7, including waiting times. Nothing is diffcult for them, they strive for full marks in every test.
Of course, there are exceptions, which are rare, which do not follow the trend. Reasons are goog/bad luck, high/low IQ, high/low efficiency, high/low attention spans, high/low resistivity to distractions and finally high/low self-motivation to improve.
